FAQ's & Appointment info

  • Will i need to make an appointment?
Yes! We operate on an appointment only basis!

  • Will i need to bring ID to my appointment? (Age 16 + )
Yes, we require photographic ID for all piercing appointments. We can only accept driving license, passport, a citizen card, or a verified government ID card with a pass logo.

  • Children's and teen's piercing information (Age 6 -16)
For children's & teen's piercing we require the following:
    1) A photographic ID from the parent or guardian
    2) The child's birth certificate
    3) If appropriate, a letter showing proof of
    guardianship, if the accompanying
adult is the child's legal guardian.

We will not pierce any child unless the parent or guardian is present, has valid ID, and has signed the necessary consent forms.

  • Will i need to pay a deposit?
Yes we require a £10 deposit at the time of booking, this comes off the total price of your piercing at your appointment.
Deposits are non refundable if an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. If you would like to move your appointment to another time or day, the deposit will be carried over to that appointment.

Please note that if you are running 10 minutes or more late for your appointment, you will lose your deposit and have to reschedule. This is to prevent appointments from over running.

  • Are there any age restrictions?
Yes, age restrictions can be found on our price list, next to each piercing.
WE DO NOT OFFER INTIMATE OR TONGUE PIERCINGS TO ANYONE UNDER 18 YEARS OLD.

  • Do you use piercing guns?
No, we do not use any piercing gun, or any "push system" for ear or nose piercing.
Piercing guns are usually made of plastic and cannot be sterilised in an autoclave. Cleaning a piercing gun with wipes, or any surface cleaner will not remove any potentially infected blood matter. This can then lead to cross contamination between people or surfaces, leading to infection!
Piercing guns can also cause trauma to the tissue. The gun forces a blunt stud through the skin, which rather than piercing, tears the tissue. The 'butterfly' back is also very hard to clean, and it collects bacteria. Often these butterfly backs are pushed onto the earrings too tightly, causing swelling, pain, irritation, and sometimes embedding. We will only use high quality titanium barbells for ear piercing.

  • Can i bring my child/ friends/family member to my appointment?
Unfortunately due to the size of the studio room, we ask that unless you are a parent accompanying a child for a piercing, you come alone to your appointment please! Having too many people in a small space can be distracting, and we want your piercing to be 100% perfect!

  • What can i do to prepare for my appointment?
It's always a good idea to make sure you eat before coming to your piercing appointment!
Please make sure you bring along your ID as we won't be able to pierce you without it.

  • Can i get a piercing if i am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Unfortunately, due to infection risks we cannot pierce anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Can i get a piercing if i am taking regular medication?
We have an in-depth medical questionnaire as part of our consent form, but if you have any questions with regards to getting a piercing whilst taking a regular medication, please contact us directly!

PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT PIERCE ANYONE WHO IS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.
